This is the opening weekend of maple syrup season at Kortright โ just 20 minutes from Toronto. ROM's Sharks exhibition is in its final weeks, Celebrate Toronto throws a massive free birthday bash at City Hall Saturday, and three free outdoor art installations are still glowing across the city.

Opening weekend of maple syrup season, and it's the closest sugar bush to the city. Horse-drawn carriage rides, Indigenous and settler syrup-making demos, magicians, stilt walkers, and taffy on snow. Arrive early โ it gets busy by noon.
